SPECTRUM Spun-bonded TruDepth filter
SPECTRUM Spun-bonded TruDepth filter The SPECTRUM TruDepth spun-bonded polypropylene filter is the durable single use cartridge offering the best all round protection, in terms of functionality and cost, having been designed and manufactured specifically for resistance to a wide range of chemical solutions.

Manufactured entirely from polypropylene, the TruDepth construction is constructed from lot-controlled materials with no anti-static agents, solvents or binders to deliver broad chemical compatibility and batch traceability with no additives to contaminate the filtrate.
Its single use design means it can be easily disposed of - incinerating to trace ash while releasing no hazardous by-products.
Designed to be of robust construction using FDA approved materials, the TruDepth is an ideal pre-filter where water supplies have been problematic or where particle removal size is unknown.
Constructed from a strong, self supporting structure means it will not deform under pressure, unload particles or migrate media into the stream.
These features, couples with state-of-the art construction, delivers consistency from filter to filter and creates a true-grade density cartridge with surface binding, which results in high flow rates and low pressure drops, all mean the truDepth from SPECTRUM is the ideal all-round pre-filter.
Osmonics Purtrex Depth Filters
Osmonics Purtrex Depth Filters Our most popular cartridge meets the requirements of most non-critical applications as well as serving as an economic pre-filter. Purtrex is the latest Osmonics’ development to use their patented blown microfibre technology. This range of pure polypropylene, surfactant-free depth filters, with exceptional dirt-holding capabilities has become the next generation replacement product to string-wound and wrongly specified resin-bonded cartridges. The result is exceptional value for general applications where long-life, high purity and low change-out frequency are required.
Osmonics Hytrex Depth Filters
Osmonics Hytrex Depth Filters GE Osmonics unique one-step manufacturing process continuously extrudes and thermally bonds pure polypropylene microfibers into a complex filter matrix.

The Osmonics Hytrex II cartridge is recognised in industry throughout the world as the original spun-bonded filter. Having evolved over the years as technology allows, Hytrex II offers clear advantages over Purtrex in certain applications. With 20% more polypropylene, which creates a longer and cleaner manufacturing process and provides 15% greater efficiency. As an indication of this ionic cleanliness, rinsing to 18 megohm is achieved in under 12 minutes, approximately half the time of Purtrex (note - standard string-wound and resin-bonded cartridges cannot reach this standard). Hytrex II also has obvious benefits with its packaging - including clear case identification and each element being embossed with its code - reducing the risk of installation error.
Osmonics SelexDepth Filters
Osmonics SelexDepth Filters The Selex (SX) cartridge filter is a high precision graded density cartridge constructed of 100% pure polypropylene. Selex provides a very high particle retention efficiency that equates the performance of absolute rated filters. The patented Selex manufacturing process controls the density and fiber size, which are key to the filters performance and long life. Selex cartridge filters have sharp efficiency cutoff, fast rinse up for exceptional purity, and continuous, weld free lengths up to 40 inches (101.6 cm).

Selex Depth cartridge filters are made from thermally-bonded fibers of polypropylene. GE Osmonics certifies that it uses no resin binders, lubricants, antistatic or release agents or other additives in the manufacture of these cartridges, and that the resin used for manufacturing the filter media meets the food contact requirements of the U.S. FDA 21CFR regulations. When required, specify only FDA compliant sealing materials and end adapters. GE Osmonics filter cartridges are designed and manufactured for resistance to a wide range of chemical solutions. Conditions will vary with each application and users should carefully verify chemical compatibility. Please contact your GE Osmonics distributor for more information.

Osmonics Z. Plex filters
Osmonics Z. Plex filters Revolutionary technology for depth filtration.

The patent pending Z.Plex™ filter technology from GE Osmonics represents years of media research and filtration technology expertise. Engineered for greater void volume than current melt blown filters, Z.Plex technology incorporates smaller diameter fibers and an innovative 3-dimensional fiber matrix that maintains structural integrity while greatly increasing filter capacity.

Conventional melt blown graded density filters consist of 2-dimensional, layered fiber strands that create voids to
trap dirt and other contaminants. The Z.Plex filter technology features a 3-dimensional fiber structure. It’s the innovative addition of transverse Z-fibers that supports the increased layer spacing. The smaller diameter fibers and increased space between layers result in more void volume, to offer:

Up to 100% greater dirt holding capacity
Up to 100% longer filter life
Up to 50% decreased pressure drop
Osmonics Aquatrex Large diameter filters (LD)
Osmonics Aquatrex Large diameter filters (LD) Osmonics is continuing to expand its product line to meet current market demand with the introduction of our new large diameter (LD) filter. Manufactured with our world-renowned Meltblown Microfibers Technology, the engineered gradient density feature of this cartridge provides exceptional dirt-holding capacity and unequaled life compared to our equivalent rated standard filters. The LD filter, with its three to eight times greater dirt-holding capacity and life, will reduce change-out frequency, adding more value in applications where high capacity and infrequent change-outs are desired. This product is ideally suited to be used in AMETEK's Big Blue* and Keystone's Blue Giant** housing units. The LD filter has pure FDA compliant polypropylene construction, and is manufactured using an ISO 9001 certified process.
