Atlas UV LED 15 LPM Water Disinfection System
The Atlas UV LED 15 LPM is a compact, energy-efficient UV-C LED water disinfection system designed to help control bacteria and other microorganisms without the use of chemicals or conventional mercury UV lamps.
Using modern UV-C LED technology, the Atlas UV LED exposes water to germicidal ultraviolet light as it passes through the unit. The UV-C radiation disrupts the DNA of bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms, preventing them from reproducing and providing effective water disinfection without altering the taste or composition of the water.
Automatic Flow-Activated UV-C LED
Unlike conventional UV systems that normally operate continuously, the Atlas UV LED incorporates a built-in flow detector. The UV LEDs automatically switch to full operating power when water flow is detected and return to standby when the flow stops.
This intelligent operation reduces unnecessary energy consumption and helps maximise LED service life. The system has a rated 3,000-hour operating life, with a status indicator providing a clear visual indication of its condition.
Up to 15 LPM Flow Rate
The Atlas UV LED is capable of treating osmosis-treated water at flow rates up to 15 litres per minute, achieving a stated ≥99.9% sterilisation rate for E. coli at ≤15 LPM.
For conventionally filtered water using 10-micron pre-filtration, the recommended operating flow is 7–11 LPM.
A minimum flow of approximately 2 LPM is required to activate the UV LED system.
Clear LED Status Indication
An integrated status light makes it easy to see the operating condition of the unit:
-
Blue: System in standby
-
Green: UV system operating
-
Red: End of UV LED service life
At the end of the approximately 3,000-hour operating life, the red indicator is accompanied by an audible warning, helping ensure the UV module is replaced when required.
Compact, Mercury-Free UV Disinfection
The Atlas UV LED uses mercury-free UV-C LED technology, eliminating the fragile mercury lamps used by traditional UV systems. Its compact design makes it particularly suitable for point-of-use and space-restricted installations.
Because the LEDs activate rapidly when flow is detected, the system provides instant UV operation without unnecessarily heating the water while it is not being used.
