SPECTRUM BD Bubble Point Beverage Grade Filter – 0.2 Micron

The SPECTRUM BD Bubble Point Beverage Grade Filter is a validated 0.2 micron polyethersulfone (PES) membrane cartridge developed for critical beverage and biological filtration applications where exceptionally high microbiological retention is required.

Part of the SPECTRUM Premier Pleat Bubble Point range, the BD uses a highly asymmetric, permanently hydrophilic PES membrane designed to provide increased throughput, excellent contaminant-holding capacity and extended membrane life. Its enhanced pore structure protects the final retention layer from premature fouling, helping maintain high flow rates even in demanding, high-loading applications.

Beverage Grade Microbiological Filtration

The BD cartridge is specifically designed for applications including the filtration and microbiological stabilisation of beer, cider, wine, fruit juice and other beverages.

The modified PES membrane combines excellent microorganism retention with low protein binding characteristics, helping preserve the desirable proteins, colours, flavours and other characteristics of the finished beverage.

The 0.2 micron BD cartridge has been validated using Brevundimonas diminuta and achieves a bacterial challenge efficiency of ≥99.99999%.
