Cintropur NW400 1½" Industrial Water Filter – FWCCNW400

The Cintropur NW400 FWCCNW400 is a high-capacity 1½" industrial water filter designed to protect commercial, agricultural and industrial water systems from suspended solids such as sand, rust, grit and other particulate contamination. Manufactured in Belgium from premium food-grade synthetic materials, the NW400 combines Cintropur's unique centrifugal pre-filtration technology with a replaceable filter sleeve to deliver outstanding filtration performance while maintaining a high flow rate and low pressure loss.

Unlike conventional cartridge housings, the NW400 features an internal centrifugal vane that creates a cyclonic water flow. Larger particles are spun away from the filter sleeve and collected in the transparent bowl, extending filter sleeve life and reducing maintenance requirements. The transparent housing also allows quick visual inspection of the filter condition without dismantling the unit.

With an average flow capacity of 12 m³/hour (12,000 LPH) and 1½" connections, the Cintropur NW400 is ideal for high-demand installations including manufacturing plants, irrigation systems, commercial buildings, borehole supplies, process water, rainwater harvesting systems and large domestic properties.

The filter accepts a wide range of interchangeable filter sleeves, allowing the system to be tailored for coarse sediment removal through to fine particulate filtration. Optional accessories such as pressure gauges, wall brackets and Duo connectors further enhance installation flexibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Cintropur NW400?
The Cintropur NW400 is a professional 1½" high-flow sediment water filter designed to remove suspended solids such as sand, rust, grit and other particles from water supplies. It is suitable for commercial, industrial, agricultural and large domestic installations.
How does the Cintropur NW400 work?
The NW400 uses Cintropur's unique centrifugal cyclone effect. Incoming water is spun inside the filter head, forcing larger particles to the bottom of the bowl before the remaining water passes through the filter sleeve. This helps extend filter sleeve life while maintaining excellent flow rates.
What contaminants does the NW400 remove?
The filter is designed to remove suspended solids including: Sand Rust Grit Sediment Dirt Scale particles Other insoluble particles The micron rating of the installed filter sleeve determines the size of particles removed.
What is the maximum flow rate?
The Cintropur NW400 offers: Average flow rate: 12 m³/hour (12,000 litres/hour) Connection size: 1½" BSP (DN40) This makes it suitable for larger commercial and industrial water systems.
What pressure can the filter operate at?
Working pressure: Up to 10 bar Maximum pressure: 16 bar Always install the filter within the manufacturer's recommended operating limits.
What temperature can it handle?
The maximum operating water temperature is 50°C.
Which filter sleeve is supplied?
The NW400 is supplied with a 25-micron filter sleeve as standard.
What filter sleeve options are available?
Cintropur offers a wide range of replacement sleeves including: Stainless Steel – 50 & 90 micron Silver – 50 & 90 micron Washable – 150 & 300 micron Non-washable – 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 & 100 micron This allows the filter to be tailored to different water qualities and applications.
How often should the filter sleeve be replaced?
Cintropur recommends replacing the filter sleeve when: The pressure drop reaches 2 bar, or At least three times per year, depending on water quality and usage. Heavily contaminated water may require more frequent replacement.
Can the filter bowl be inspected without dismantling the filter?
Yes. The NW400 features a transparent filter bowl, allowing you to visually inspect sediment build-up and determine when maintenance is required.
Can the filter be flushed?
Yes. The integrated drain valve allows sediment collected in the bowl to be flushed out quickly, helping reduce maintenance and prolong filter sleeve life.
Can the NW400 be used with drinking water?
Yes. The filter is manufactured from high-quality synthetic materials suitable for food products and drinking water applications
Can it be used before UV systems?
Yes. The Cintropur NW400 is commonly installed upstream of UV disinfection systems to remove suspended particles that could reduce UV effectiveness. The manufacturer also states that it can be combined with UV treatment systems.
Can it be used with activated carbon?
Yes. The Cintropur range can be combined with activated carbon filtration for improved taste, odour reduction and removal of chlorine and dissolved organic compounds where appropriate.
What applications is the NW400 suitable for?
The Cintropur NW400 is ideal for: Commercial buildings Industrial process water Agricultural irrigation Livestock water supplies Borehole water filtration Rainwater harvesting Hotels Schools Apartment buildings Protection of pumps, valves and downstream equipment
