Clack V4099 Blending Valve (external)

The Clack V4099 External Blending Valve is a genuine Clack adjustable in-line mixing valve designed to blend a controlled amount of untreated water with treated water. Ideal for water softeners and filtration systems, it allows the final water hardness or chlorine level to be adjusted to suit specific requirements.

Compatible with Clack WS1 and WS1.25 control valves, as well as 1191 and 1190FP in/out heads and compatible inline bypass assemblies, the V4099 provides a convenient way to introduce water blending without replacing the existing control valve.

Applications

Water Softeners: Allows a proportion of untreated hard water to be blended with softened water, providing a controlled level of residual hardness rather than fully softened water.

Activated Carbon Filters: Can be used to blend a small proportion of untreated water with filtered water where some residual chlorine is required.

Existing Installations: Provides an external blending option for compatible Clack systems without the need to replace the complete control valve.

Important Information

The achievable blending percentage depends on vessel diameter, filter media, bed depth, flow rate and operating pressure.

Clack generally recommends using this valve on vessels up to 13" diameter. Larger vessels may not achieve sufficient blending.

Please Note: Blending untreated water back into the treated supply also reintroduces any contaminants present in that water. This valve should only be used where the resulting water quality remains suitable for its intended application.
