Filox-R is a superior filtration media designed to efficiently remove iron, hydrogen sulfide, and manganese from water. Unlike traditional media like Greensand, Filox-R requires no oxidizing chemicals for regeneration, offering a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution.

Filox-R boasts an exceptional flow rate, handling up to 6 gallons per minute per cubic foot of service flow and 12-15 gallons per square foot during backwashing. This high flow rate allows for efficient filtration without sacrificing performance.

To ensure optimal results, the water's pH should be maintained at 7 or higher for iron removal and 8 or higher for manganese removal. Additionally, the water must contain at least 15% dissolved oxygen relative to the combined iron and manganese content.

Filox-R's high density requires a powerful backwash flow to effectively remove oxidized iron and manganese. However, this investment in backwashing is offset by the media's exceptional service flow rate and extended lifespan compared to Birm.
