Fleck 9000/1600 SXT Twin | Duplex Eco SXT 1" – V900SI-604

The Fleck 9000/1600 SXT Twin Duplex Eco SXT 1" valve – V900SI-604 is a high-performance twin-tank control valve designed for duplex water softening systems where a continuous supply of softened water is required.

The Fleck 9000 operates with one vessel in service while the second vessel is either regenerating or held in standby. When the operating vessel reaches its programmed capacity, the valve automatically transfers service to the second vessel, allowing regeneration to take place without interrupting the softened water supply.

Equipped with the Fleck SXT electronic controller, the valve provides straightforward programming and adjustable regeneration cycles, making it suitable for both commercial and larger domestic water softening applications.

Key Features

  • Twin / duplex operation for a continuous supply of softened water

  • One vessel remains in service while the second regenerates or stands by

  • Regeneration using softened water

  • Fleck SXT electronic controller

  • 1" BSP inlet and outlet connections

  • Brass valve body

  • Adjustable regeneration cycles

  • Suitable for 6" to 16" diameter softener vessels

  • Compatible with downflow and upflow regeneration configurations

  • 1600 brine system connection

  • Meter-controlled operation for efficient regeneration based on actual water usage

Pentair specifies a working pressure range of 1.8–8.5 bar and a working temperature range of 1–43°C.

Flow Performance – 1" Version

At a 3.5 bar inlet pressure, the Fleck 9000 1" valve offers:

Performance Flow Rate
Continuous flow at 1 bar pressure drop 4.7 m³/h
Peak flow at 1.8 bar pressure drop 6.3 m³/h
Maximum backwash flow at 1.8 bar pressure drop 1.9 m³/h

This makes the V900SI-604 particularly suitable for installations where water demand varies throughout the day and uninterrupted softened water availability is important.

Connections

  • Inlet / Outlet: 1" BSP

  • Distributor tube: 26.7 mm / 1"

  • Drain connection: ½"

  • 1600 brine line: ⅜"

  • Mounting base: 2½" – 8 NPSM

  • Recommended vessel diameter: 6"–16" / 150–400 mm

What’s Included

All valves are equipped with:

  • Transformer

  • Top distributors

  • Drain elbow

  • Second tank adapter

Items Not Included

The following components are not included in the valve price and must be ordered separately where required:

  • Yokes

  • Bypass valve

  • Aircheck

  • Distributor tube

  • Bottom distributor

Connecting flexible hose must also be ordered separately to suit the vessel diameter.

Metered SXT Control

The 1" meter has an accuracy range of approximately 2.6–151 litres per minute, allowing the SXT controller to monitor actual treated-water consumption and initiate regeneration when required rather than relying solely on a fixed time schedule.

This demand-based operation can help minimise unnecessary salt and water consumption, making the Fleck 9000 Duplex Eco arrangement an efficient choice for applications with fluctuating water demand.

Typical Applications

The Fleck 9000/1600 SXT Twin is suitable for:

  • Commercial water softeners

  • Large domestic properties

  • Restaurants and catering facilities

  • Laundries

  • Hotels and guest accommodation

  • Light industrial water treatment

  • Applications requiring 24-hour softened water availability

Why Choose a Fleck 9000 Duplex Valve?

Unlike a conventional single-vessel softener, a duplex system does not normally need to wait until a quiet period to regenerate. As one vessel becomes exhausted, the Fleck 9000 switches the water supply to the second vessel while the first regenerates.

This makes it particularly useful where softened water must remain available during regeneration, while the metered SXT controller helps ensure regeneration takes place according to actual demand.
