• pH Range: Maintain water between 6.5 and 9.0. Note that for specific contaminant removal, a pH of 7 is required for iron and a pH of 8 is needed for manganese.
• Bed Depth: Suggested depth of 18 inches or 460 mm, depending on application.
• Backwash Flow Rate: 25-30 gpm/sq. ft.
• Recommended Service Flow Rate: 5 gpm/sq. ft. (12.2 ideal for many installations).
• Freeboard: At least 40% of bed depth to allow proper expansion.
