This mix can be used for iron and manganese removal by oxidation. The manganese dioxide helps oxidise the iron and the sand traps the precipitate, They are similar to Birm and Filox but slightly more robust than Birm and cheaper than Filox. They requires a pH of 7 or more for iron removal and 8 for manganese removal plus a dissolved oxygen.

This unit is supplied partailly assembled for shipping. Some assembly will be required. All components and instructions will be supplied.

The unit size is the physical size of the vessel given in inches (eg 10" x 44").

The figure in bags (each bag is 25 kg) is the volume of the media (magnesium dioxide and sand mix).

The lph (litres per hour) figure is the maximum flow rate.
