The AqMatic K531-X200-14000 is a 1″ normally open diaphragm control valve from the AquaMatic K53 Series, designed for reliable automatic flow control in water treatment, deionisation and industrial process applications.

Manufactured using corrosion-resistant thermoplastic components, the K531 is particularly well suited to applications where conventional metal valves may be vulnerable to corrosion. Its Y-pattern valve design provides a large seat opening and high disc lift, helping to achieve high flow rates while keeping pressure loss to a minimum. 

This version incorporates a Buna-N diaphragm with EP (EPDM) seals and disc and uses Noryl/PVC internal components. The standard configuration is normally open, meaning line pressure holds the valve open during normal operation. Applying control pressure above the diaphragm closes the valve, making the K531 suitable for use with pneumatic, hydraulic, solenoid or stager-based control systems. 

The reinforced, pre-formed diaphragm is designed to minimise fatigue and provide fast, consistent valve response. Separate flow and control chambers allow positive closing without requiring a mechanical closing spring, while dual dynamic O-rings on the shaft help protect the diaphragm.

Technical Specification

The valve itself is supplied without connection sockets unless otherwise specified. AquaMatic connector options include 1″ ASTM, 25 mm ISO and 25 mm JIS female socket weld connections, allowing the valve to be adapted to different pipe standards.
