Clack V3079BSPT WS 1.25" Drain Line Flow Control (DLFC) – 9–85 GPM

The Clack V3079BSPT Drain Line Flow Control (DLFC) Assembly is a genuine Clack stainless steel flow control housing designed for commercial and industrial water softeners and backwashing filtration systems.

Featuring a 1¼" NPT inlet and 1½" female BSPT outlet, this assembly allows accurate control of drain water flow during regeneration and backwashing.

The V3079BSPT accommodates one central 1" flow control washer and up to six additional ¾" flow control washers, allowing a combined drain flow rate from 9.0 to 85.0 GPM (34–322 L/min).

This flexible arrangement makes it ideal for larger water treatment vessels requiring higher backwash rates than can be achieved using a conventional single-washer drain fitting.

Drain Line Flow Control Washers

The V3079BSPT uses a combination of Clack flow control washers to achieve the required total drain flow rate.

Central 1" Flow Washer – V3190 Series

One 1" washer must be installed in the central opening. Available ratings range from 9.0 to 25.0 GPM.

Additional ¾" Flow Washers – V3162 Series

Up to six additional ¾" washers can be installed in the surrounding openings, with individual ratings ranging from 0.7 to 10.0 GPM.

The surrounding openings are initially sealed and can be opened as required to accommodate additional washers.

By combining the flow rates of the selected washers, the assembly can provide the appropriate backwash flow rate for the water treatment system.

Installation Information

The V3079BSPT connects to compatible Clack control valves using the appropriate threaded connection pipework.

The assembly incorporates a removable flow control retainer, allowing the required combination of washers to be installed.

When installing the flow control washers, ensure they are correctly orientated in the direction of water flow.

The selected total flow rate must be appropriate for the vessel diameter, filter media, bed depth and available backwash water supply.

Please Note: Drain line flow control washers are not included and must be purchased separately. A minimum of one 1" V3190 series washer is required for operation.

The 9–85 GPM rating represents the available flow control range, not a fixed flow rate.
