Clack V3080BSPT WS2 1.5" Drain Line Flow Control (DLFC) – 9–85 GPM

The Clack V3080BSPT WS2 Drain Line Flow Control (DLFC) Assembly is a genuine Clack stainless steel flow control housing designed for use with Clack WS2 commercial and industrial water softeners and backwashing filtration systems.

Featuring a 1½" male NPT inlet and 1½" female BSPT outlet, the assembly regulates the flow of water to drain during regeneration and backwashing.

The V3080BSPT accommodates one central 1" flow control washer and up to six additional ¾" flow control washers, providing a combined flow rate ranging from 9.0 to 85.0 GPM (34–322 L/min).

This multi-washer configuration allows the backwash flow rate to be tailored to suit the vessel diameter, filter media and operational requirements of larger water treatment installations.

Drain Line Flow Control Washers

The Clack V3080BSPT uses a combination of flow control washers to achieve the required drain flow rate.

Central 1" Flow Washer – V3190 Series

One 1" flow control washer must be fitted in the central opening. Available flow rates range from 9.0 to 25.0 GPM.

Additional ¾" Flow Washers – V3162 Series

Up to six additional ¾" washers can be fitted into the surrounding openings to increase the total drain flow rate.

The additional openings are initially sealed and can be opened as required when installing further washers.

By combining the selected washer flow rates, the assembly can provide a controlled backwash rate appropriate to the water treatment system.

Installation Information

The V3080BSPT connects to the 1½" female NPT drain port on the Clack WS2 control valve.

The assembly incorporates a removable flow control retainer, allowing the appropriate combination of washers to be installed.

Correct washer selection is essential to achieve the required backwash flow without excessive media loss or insufficient bed expansion.

Ensure that the available water supply and drain pipework can accommodate the selected flow rate.

Please Note: Flow control washers are not included and must be purchased separately. At least one 1" V3190 series washer is required, with up to six additional ¾" V3162 series washers installed as necessary.

The 9–85 GPM rating represents the available flow control range, not a fixed flow rate.
