Service and Maintenance
To maximize the performance and lifespan of the Ecosoft HR-4040 membrane, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Ensure proper pretreatment of the membrane before initial use.
- Gradually increase feed water pressure over 30–60 seconds and operating flow over 15–20 seconds to avoid damage from surges.
- Discharge permeate generated during the first hour of operation.
- Keep the membrane wet after initial wetting to avoid damage.
- During long shutdowns, store the membrane in a preservative solution to prevent biofouling.
- Ensure the pressure drop across the housing does not exceed 3.4 bar.
Note: Avoid rapid pressure or flow changes during start-up, cleaning, or shutdown to protect the membrane's integrity.
