FilmTec BW30XHR PRO-400/34 – Extra High Rejection RO Membrane

The DuPont FilmTec BW30XHR PRO-400/34 Reverse Osmosis Membrane Element is a high-performance 8" x 40" industrial brackish water RO membrane designed to deliver exceptional water purity, superior salt rejection and reliable long-term operation.

Featuring 99.8% stabilised salt rejection and a nominal permeate flow rate of 43.5 m³/day (11,500 GPD), this extra high rejection membrane is ideal for demanding industrial and municipal water treatment applications where consistently high permeate quality is essential.

The BW30XHR PRO-400/34 offers excellent rejection of dissolved salts, silica, boron, nitrates, ammonium and total organic carbon (TOC). Its advanced polyamide thin-film composite construction and 34 mil low differential pressure feed spacer provide enhanced fouling protection and stable performance.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Extra High Salt Rejection: 99.8% stabilised salt rejection, with a minimum rejection of 99.6%.

  • High Permeate Flow: Nominal production capacity of 11,500 GPD (43.5 m³/day) under standard test conditions.

  • Excellent Contaminant Rejection: Effective reduction of dissolved salts, silica, boron, nitrates, ammonium and TOC.

  • Enhanced Fouling Protection: 34 mil low differential pressure (LDP) feed spacer helps maintain reliable operation.

  • Durable Construction: Polyamide thin-film composite membrane engineered for stable, long-term performance.

Performance & Operating Information

Published permeate flow and salt rejection figures are based on standard test conditions of 2,000 ppm NaCl, 15.5 bar operating pressure, 25°C feed temperature, pH 8 and 15% recovery.

Actual membrane performance will vary depending on feedwater composition, temperature, operating pressure, system recovery and pretreatment.

Important: FilmTec polyamide membranes are sensitive to oxidising agents, including free chlorine. Suitable pretreatment and dechlorination are required to protect the membrane and maintain performance. The element must remain moist after initial wetting.

For full operating limits, installation requirements and recommended system design parameters, please refer to the manufacturer's technical data sheet.
