Five Stage Reverse Osmosis System, Pumped – 75 GPD

Enjoy fresh, great-tasting drinking water with this pumped five-stage reverse osmosis system, designed for reliable under-sink water purification in homes, offices and other point-of-use applications.

The system combines sediment filtration, two stages of activated carbon, a 75 GPD reverse osmosis membrane and a final coconut-shell post carbon filter to reduce sediment, chlorine, unwanted tastes and odours, dissolved salts and a wide range of other impurities commonly found in water.

Unlike a standard mains-pressure RO system, this model incorporates an LF-30L booster pump, helping maintain the pressure required for efficient membrane operation where incoming water pressure is low or variable. The manufacturer's manual specifies an inlet pressure range of 1–6 bar for pumped models, with approximately 3 bar stated as the optimum operating pressure.

Five-Stage Reverse Osmosis Filtration

Water passes through five individual treatment stages:

Stage 1 – 5 Micron Sediment Filter
Removes suspended particles such as rust, dirt, sand and other sediment. This protects the carbon cartridges and RO membrane from premature fouling.

Stage 2 – Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Filter
Reduces chlorine and organic compounds while improving taste and odour and helping protect the RO membrane.

Stage 3 – Carbon Block Filter
Provides additional carbon treatment and finer particle filtration before the water reaches the membrane.

Stage 4 – 75 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane
The semi-permeable RO membrane provides the primary purification stage, reducing dissolved salts and a wide range of dissolved contaminants.

Stage 5 – Inline Coconut Post Carbon Filter
Provides a final polishing stage after the storage tank to improve the taste and freshness of the water immediately before it reaches the drinking water tap.

These five treatment stages correspond with the filtration arrangement described in the Viva 5T manufacturer's manual.

Built-In Booster Pump

The integrated LF-30L pump helps provide consistent pressure across the RO membrane, making this system particularly suitable where mains pressure would otherwise be insufficient for dependable reverse osmosis production.

The pumped design can operate from significantly lower incoming pressures than the non-pumped version.

75 GPD Reverse Osmosis Membrane

At the heart of the system is a 75 gallon-per-day RO membrane, designed to substantially reduce dissolved minerals and ions.

The manufacturer's technical information lists reduction of contaminants including lead, copper, nitrate, fluoride, sodium, cadmium, chromium, mercury, iron and manganese, although actual performance will depend on feed-water quality, pressure, temperature and system condition.

Pressurised Storage Tank

Purified water is stored within the supplied approximately 12 litre / 3.2 gallon pressurised storage tank, providing treated water on demand rather than requiring the membrane to produce the full tap flow instantaneously.

304 Stainless Steel Drinking Water Faucet

A dedicated 304 stainless steel RO faucet is included for installation at the kitchen sink or worktop, providing a separate outlet exclusively for purified drinking water.

Automatic Shut-Off

An automatic shut-off valve stops unnecessary water production once the storage tank reaches pressure, reducing unnecessary wastewater production and allowing the system to restart automatically as purified water is used.

Recommended Filter Replacement

Regular cartridge replacement helps protect the RO membrane and maintain water quality:

  • 5 micron sediment filter: approximately every 6 months

  • GAC carbon filter: approximately every 6 months

  • Carbon block filter: approximately every 6 months

  • Post carbon filter: approximately every 12 months

  • RO membrane: approximately every 3 years

Replacement frequency can vary depending on incoming water quality and usage. These intervals follow the manufacturer's maintenance recommendations.

Ideal for Under-Sink Drinking Water Treatment

Compact and easy to incorporate beneath a kitchen sink, this 75 GPD pumped reverse osmosis system provides a complete point-of-use drinking water solution. The booster pump makes it particularly useful for properties where incoming pressure is too low or inconsistent for a conventional non-pumped RO system.

With five treatment stages, a pressurised storage tank and dedicated stainless steel faucet, it provides a convenient source of low-TDS, great-tasting filtered water for drinking, cooking, tea and coffee.
