Jacobi AquaSorb HS Acid Washed Activated Carbon – 12x40 Mesh, 50 Litre Bag
Jacobi AquaSorb HS is a high-purity, high-activity granular activated carbon manufactured by steam activation from carefully selected coconut shells. The carbon is acid washed to reduce soluble mineral content, including silica, making it particularly suitable for applications where low conductivity and exceptionally high product purity are required.
AquaSorb HS is designed for demanding water-treatment duties including ultra-pure water systems, semiconductor process water, dialysis treatment, point-of-entry filtration and protection of reverse-osmosis membranes. It is also specifically suited to condensate de-oiling, where the acid-washing process helps minimise soluble silica leaching into recovered condensate.

Why Acid Washed Carbon?
The acid-washing stage removes soluble inorganic material from the carbon matrix, including soluble silica. This makes AquaSorb HS especially useful where downstream equipment or product quality is sensitive to mineral leaching, conductivity or purity.
