K526-X200-14000 AquaMatic 526 2½" Normally Open Composite Control Valve

The AquaMatic K526-X200-14000 is a 2½" normally open diaphragm-operated control valve from the AquaMatic K52 Series, designed for reliable fluid control in water treatment and demanding industrial applications.

Manufactured from corrosion-resistant composite materials, the K52 Series is particularly suited to applications involving deionised water, process water, acids, caustics and other fluids that may rapidly corrode conventional metal valves. The valve body and cap are moulded from glass-filled thermoplastic, providing excellent corrosion resistance while retaining the proven AquaMatic valve design.

The K526 uses AquaMatic's distinctive Y-pattern body design, providing a large seat opening and high-lift disc to achieve high flow rates with relatively low pressure loss. The diaphragm also acts directly as the valve actuator, eliminating the need for a separate pneumatic or electric actuator. All components can be serviced while the valve remains installed in the pipeline.

Features & Benefits

The K526-X200-14000 offers:

  • Normally open operation

  • Corrosion-resistant composite construction

  • High-flow Cv 100 valve design

  • Low pressure loss compared with conventional valve designs

  • Large seat opening and high-lift disc

  • Pre-formed, stress-relieved diaphragm for long service life and responsive operation

  • Separate flow and control chambers for positive valve operation

  • In-line serviceability

  • No separate electric or pneumatic actuator required

  • Choice of compatible end connection/adaptor arrangements

  • Suitable for integration with a wide range of AquaMatic control systems

The K52 Series can be fitted with various end connectors, allowing the valve to be adapted to different pipework arrangements and providing connection compatibility beyond the nominal valve-body size.

Typical Applications

The AquaMatic K526 is suitable for a wide variety of commercial and industrial duties, including:

  • Water treatment systems

  • Process water systems

  • Deionisation systems

  • Desalination

  • Chemical injection

  • Detergent and bleach handling

  • Industrial process control

  • Metal recovery systems

  • Level control systems

  • Mining and waste treatment applications

These applications are specifically identified by AquaMatic for the K52 Series.

Materials & Chemical Resistance

Components in contact with the process fluid are manufactured from composite materials, helping provide excellent resistance to corrosion. AquaMatic specifies ethylene propylene sealing materials within the K52 Series for improved chemical resistance.

Important: AquaMatic states that K52 valves are not recommended for aromatic or hydrocarbon-based media.

AquaMatic K526 Normally Open Operation

In the normally open configuration, the valve remains open when control pressure is absent. Applying control pressure to the diaphragm chamber closes the valve. This simple diaphragm-operated design makes the K526 particularly suitable for automated water treatment installations and other applications requiring dependable fluid control without a conventional powered actuator.
