Kasuga TBL12 Dual Sinker Level Switch
Kasuga TBL12 Dual Sinker Liquid Level Switch for Water Tanks
The Kasuga TBL12 Dual Sinker Level Switch is a reliable mechanical liquid level controller designed for automatic pump control in water storage tanks, treatment systems, sewage applications, and seawater installations. Unlike conventional float switches that require two separate floats, the innovative Kasuga dual-sinker design uses a single relay unit with two sinkers to provide accurate upper and lower level control, simplifying installation while improving reliability.
Suitable for both clean and dirty water applications, the TBL12 operates independently of liquid conductivity, making it ideal for freshwater, seawater, treated water, wastewater and even non-conductive liquids. The adjustable control range allows installers to easily customise switching levels by simply altering the hanging rope length.
Key Features
- Dual sinker design provides both high and low level control from a single unit
- Ideal for water treatment plants, sewage systems, storage tanks and seawater applications
- Operates regardless of liquid conductivity
- Adjustable switching range by changing rope length
- Suitable for automatic pump filling or emptying applications
- Reliable mechanical microswitch operation
- Remote installation possible without interference from electrical induction
- Rainproof IP33 enclosure
- Polycarbonate main housing for corrosion resistance
- Supplied complete with dual sinkers and 3m hanging rope
- Long mechanical and electrical service life exceeding 50 million operations
Typical Applications
The Kasuga TBL12 is widely used in:
- Water storage tanks
- Reverse osmosis feed tanks
- Break tanks
- Sewage pumping stations
- Wastewater treatment plants
- Rainwater harvesting systems
- Cooling water systems
- Irrigation tanks
- Process water control
- Industrial pump automation
How the TBL12 Works
The TBL12 uses two weighted sinkers suspended beneath the main switch housing. As the liquid level rises or falls, buoyancy changes the position of the sinkers, operating an internal microswitch.
This allows:
- Automatic filling of tanks
- Automatic emptying of tanks
- High and low level switching using one compact assembly
- Adjustable switching differential by varying the distance between the sinkers
