The Pentair FloPlus Fibredyne Carbon Filter Cartridge combines high-efficiency 0.5 micron particulate filtration with excellent chlorine taste and odour reduction. Using Pentair’s advanced Fibredyne™ technology, the cartridge offers the contaminant-reduction performance of a fine carbon block while maintaining higher flow rates, lower pressure drop and increased dirt-holding capacity.

Unlike conventional carbon blocks, Fibredyne cartridges use fibres coated with powdered activated carbon (PAC). The fibrous structure creates a large filtration surface area and multiple flow paths, helping trap sediment throughout the depth of the cartridge while allowing water to pass with relatively low resistance.

FloPlus cartridges provide 0.5 micron nominal filtration, making them particularly suitable where very fine particulate removal is required alongside carbon treatment.

The FloPlus range is also NSF/ANSI Standard 53 certified for the reduction of cysts such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia by mechanical filtration.

It is particularly useful where a standard fine carbon block could suffer from excessive pressure loss or premature blockage.

For water supplies where microbiological contamination may be present, appropriate disinfection should be installed before or after the filtration system as required. The cartridge should not be used on microbiologically unsafe water without adequate disinfection.
