Pentair RFC Radial Flow Carbon Filter Cartridge – 70 Micron

The Pentair Pentek RFC Radial Flow Carbon Filter Cartridge is a high-capacity granular activated carbon (GAC) filter designed for effective reduction of chlorine taste and odour in residential, commercial, food service and industrial water treatment applications.

Unlike conventional GAC cartridges, the RFC uses a radial flow design which allows water to pass efficiently through the carbon bed while maintaining a low pressure drop. This design also significantly reduces the release of carbon fines into the filtered water, making the RFC an excellent choice for applications requiring high flow rates and dependable carbon filtration.

The cartridge features a 70 micron porous polyethylene outer shell surrounding a bed of granular activated carbon. Standard diameter cartridges incorporate a polypropylene core, while the larger 4½" Big Blue cartridges use a spun polypropylene inner core.
