The RAH Big Stainless Steel Cartridge 90 Micron (RA5001020) is a durable, reusable filter cartridge designed for use with Atlas Filtri HYDRA BIG self-cleaning filter housings. Featuring a robust stainless steel filtration net with a 90 micron nominal filtration rating, it provides effective mechanical filtration of suspended solids and particulate matter from water.

Designed for high-flow point-of-entry applications, the RAH cartridge is ideal for protecting downstream pipework, equipment and water treatment systems from larger particles such as sand, grit, rust and sediment.

Reusable Stainless Steel Filtration

Unlike disposable sediment cartridges, the RAH cartridge uses a stainless steel net which can be repeatedly cleaned and reused. When installed within a HYDRA BIG housing, the cartridge forms part of the system's self-cleaning backwash process.

Cleaning is quick and straightforward. Opening the drain valve at the bottom of the HYDRA BIG creates a reversal of water flow through the cartridge, helping to dislodge accumulated impurities and discharge them from the filter. The integrated discharge arrangement is designed to prevent expelled water from flowing back into the system.

The RAH stainless steel cartridge is specifically designed to work with the HYDRA BIG range, providing a practical solution where regular sediment loading would make frequent replacement of disposable cartridges inconvenient or expensive.

The HYDRA BIG range is designed for high-flow applications and operates at working pressures between 1.8 and 8.3 bar, with a working temperature range of 4°C to 45°C.

The 90 micron RAH cartridge can be used within HYDRA BIG configurations rated up to 6,000 LPH with 1" connections or 15,000 LPH with 1½" connections, depending on the specific housing model.
