Installation Recommendations
To ensure a successful replacement, it is recommended to have the following tools on hand:

Required Tools: 3/4” diameter wooden dowel (18” long), hacksaw, channel locks, 1/2” deep well socket, and a valve core tool.

Air Source: An air source is required to pre-charge the tank to 4 psig (.28 bar) lower than your pump’s cut-in pressure.

Two-Person Task: Due to the size of the air cell, two people are recommended for removing the old cell and guiding the new one into the tank.
Safety Warning: Always turn off electric power to the pump and ensure all water pressure is fully released from the tank and system before beginning service.
Technical Compatibility
This kit is designed for Pentair Wellmate tanks. For older models, the kit provides specific hardware like the white plastic spacer and brass retainer to ensure a proper fit regardless of your tank's original valve stem design.
